Sinclair is offended Ryan does not want him to take care of Fontaine the way he usually does with dissidents. Sinclair investigates Fontaine and is tempted to get his own hands dirty with this frustratingly mysterious fellow. He finds out about the Ryan-Fontaine affair in a shocking and compromising way and ends up involved himself.
