A Buttons and a Heady Splicer decide to team up to increase their chances of survival. Eventually, their pragmatic partnership develops into a friendship and they become a source of comfort for one another amidst all the chaos and madness, well, as much as a Splicer can be. Especially Heady learns that the programmers aren't so bad and pathetic after all.
